1. Does eLingo support work on multiple computers sharing the same data?

Yes, eLingo supports work on multiple computers sharing the same data. One computer should work as a server and all the other computers should work as clients. You can change working mode (server/client) on the Network tab in options. By default after installation program works as a server. To set computer to work as a client you should set the client mode and the server address. You can find out server address by clicking on button Show server address on the computer which work as server.


2. Can I use barcode scanner or RFID reader to check-in students?

Yes you can use barcode scanner or RFID reader to check-in students. They need to be plug and play devices. To be sure if you can use your device with elingo just install trial version and start the program. Click on check-in button on the main form and be sure that CARD ID field is focused. Try to read the card with barcode scanner or RFID reader. If the number is shown in CARD ID field you can use your device with elingo.


3. What if I have to install the program again because of windows reinstallation?

You can reinstall windows or install new version of windows. After that just install the program and use the same serial number. You can even move you hard disk to another PC, install program on the same hard disk and use the same serial number.


4. How to install new version?

If you are already using eLingo you can always install newer version. Just get the latest version of eLingo from our download page and install it over previous version. During installation uncheck launch Report viewer component installation and launch Firebird server installation because they are alredy installed on your computer after first time installation.

Installation of new version will leave your database intact, but just in case we strongly recommend you to backup your database before installation. You can do it directly from the program using the option in the menu (servicing->backup database), or you can simply copy file named "languageschool.fdb" to some other other place.


5. I have installed trial version of eLingo. How to login for the first time?

Just use the following parameteres to login.  Be sure to use lowercase letters.

username: admin

password: admin

You can change admin password later


6. Do I need license for client computers and how much it costs

Yes, each computer on which you want to use eLingo (server or client version) needs to have a license. Client license costs just  50EUR. After puchasing one server license contact us and we will send you a payment link for purchasing client licenses. 


7. How can I export data from any report to excel or pdf?

When you open a report go to toolbar and find Export button (blue diskete icon). Click on it and select excel, PDF or Word format. Give it a name and save it.


8. Is eLingo price just one time fee? Are there any additional costs ?

The price is just one time fee. No annual or monthly fee. There are also no additional costs after you have purchased eLingo.
